my new company filed h1 transfer on premium on 17 of jan and got fedex delivery on 18th .I have to join this company asap..so I have few question
1. can i join this company even the receipt is not available?
2. how long its take to get the receipt and approval in premium processing?
3. is there any chance to denied if yes what are those factors if any one come accross?

Ssashraf, please don't answer a thread question with another similar question. I'm not sure it helps much. In forum posting, that usually leads to disinterest and 'dead' threads where none of the questions are really answered.

I am in the same situation and my attorney advised me to definetely file my wife's H4 extension along with my H1, but make sure to only request her H4 extension till Sept 30, 2007 so that her H1 approved COS will take effect from Oct 1st.

hi,
i have a question whether to use EAD or H1B? Initiallly i re-entered into usa after finishing my first 6yr term of H1B in June 05 on H1b. Later changed employer. New employer filed my GC using existing labor (EB3) in 2006 and also filed for i-140 & i-485 in oct 2007. so the transferred h1b is expiring on 06/2009. my ead expired in Oct 2008. I am thinking of renewing EAD than H1b which i am planning to file in this month (Feb, 2009).
questions:
1. If i go back to India in Mar 09 - Can I come back using EAD (Once its approved and someone sends my EAD & AP to India) as i haven't used EAD?
2. my transfered H1b is expiring on Jun 09 and i don't want to go to Madras to stamp the transfered company's visa on my passport as i doubt to get it - the Consulate might ask me so many questions when its expiring in june why you want to go to usa for 3 or 4 months.
3. The best bet - do i need to wait for my renewal of EAD & AP and then leave?
Please let me know as my travel plans are dependent on this.

Hi All,
I am here in US on a H1B and my wife is on a H4. She recently got admission to a graduate school and has to start next week. I am worried that if I get her COS for the next semester (this is a 1 year program), then woud she be eligible to get her OPT at the end of the program? She would have been on a F1 for less than a year, but would have completed the Master's program.
I tried to get more information, but what I saw was that the OPT eligiblility requirement is atleast 1 full academic year on F1. Is this correct?
Help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I got appointment letter for Biometrics from USCIS. I already gave in 2007.
Why are they asking again? and I only got this, my husband and son didn't get it.
Right now I am on EAD, since last december(2009) I am not working, will there be any issues as I am the primary applicant.

I don't know about legal risks but health-wise that sounds quite risky.
I can't believe to what extent some people will go to earn money!
Boss, don't make yourself a guinea pig. No amount of money is worth it.
If every one thinks like you, how in the world would drugs be developed to cure the diseases? :D :) Note that before any drugs gets to the stage of human subjects research, it would have completed several trials to ensure that its safe. Adverse events may happen during the trial but in recent studies, not many.
Generally, there will be an orientation and screening before enrollments, you will get all the information at that stage and you may choose not to enroll or if you have any particular condition identified during screening, you will not even be enrolled.
Risks are very minimum. Good luck.

I took sociology and learnt a great deal and I feel minorities need to find a common ground and establish themselves with a new society. Please do not make them detest us or bully us in anyway. Just checking: How many of us got the COPIES of 485 petetion filed by attorney. I asked my attorney to send me copies of petition filed and the supporting documents submitted (filed on 6/29 and delivered 7/2: July VB). Despite calling and writting couple of times since the filing, I have NOT got the copies to make sure if filing was okay. we provided all info and documents required.
My question: 1) Is it a common practice for attorneys to supply a copy of filed petion to clients. 2) How many people got copies.
