The Mini is pretty powerful. Sorry to discount your argument, but I think that it's more than enough for people out there that aren't power users/computer nerds. Heck, my dad runs engineering software all day long on his Pentium 3 733mhz, 256MB RAM computer and doesn't feel the need to upgrade.
It being in a small case is even better for the common user. Maybe to us, a small case seems like a bad computer, but the specs are similar to MacBook specs, which seems like enough for almost all users out there.
Minis suck for gaming (and iMacs aren't much better). Much as people like to play this issue down, I think it's relatively significant problem for machines that are being primarily marketed at home users.
Certainly, the single biggest reason I haven't replaced my Desktop PC with a Mac - despite *really* wanting to (even though it would run Windows as much as OS X) - is because a Mac that can play current games well is frighteningly expensive.

My 3G is on its last legs, literally. I may succumb to the white iPhone 4 if this is what is in store for the next calendar year.
I have an iPhone 3G as well. It was on it's last leg until i downgraded to iOS 3.1.3, and it's a nice substitute until the iPhone 5. I don't know about you, but i think there will be significant enough features in the iPhone 5 to wait.

I think the issue with people finding it slow is there lack of understand of what Aperture is actually doing. And also not really knowing how to use Aperture to it's full potential.

Aperture can be very slow, especially on older hardware. I run it on a 1.25GHz Powerbook G4 with 1.5 gigs of RAM. The time required for most actions is acceptable, but none of them are speedy - Lightroom is noticably faster. One action that basically is unusable on my computer - rotating by an arbitrary angle.
I am quite sure I know pretty much exactly what Aperture is doing.
Now when someone reports that the program is dog-slow on a dual-G5, then I'd agree there is something else going on there. But there is a decent range of officially-supported hardware that is, in truth, somewhat underpowered for Aperture. Apple obviously made some decisions regarding the hardware based more on marketing than on the technical specs.
That all said, I am looking forward to trying out 1.5 on my Powerbook! (as soon as I get it back from Apple for yet another in-warranty white-spot LCD replacement... got it in to them 5 days before "our" 3rd anniversary) I think this was a pretty good announcement, and gotta wonder about the unrealistic expectations some people have (WHAT? No 5GHz MacBook Pro with 20" monitor?).

When I first saw OSX I was blown away :D and looking though my geek pics found a screen shot from my G4 Cube in cannot remember if the screenshot from 2001 was 10.0 or 10.1 as that cube came with OS9 and had them both 10 beta and 10.1 installed, anyway though I would share a screenshot of my desktop now and then then :D

Can anyone remember the name of the iTunes player in the pic from 2001? it had LOADS of skins and the particular one in the pic! used to sink into the desktop when you clicked the screen or on another program, does anyone know if they brought it back to life? I miss that player SOOOOO MUCHHHHH :(

Actually a crappy story is held against many movies, tv shows, books, and etc. That's why we call them crappy and they fail. Case in recent point, the drubbing that Skyline is getting, besides it's spectacular trailer. It looks good, but it came in fourth in movies this week, and word of mouth may make that as high as it goes. The complaint? Weak stories, characters, and a truly stupid & frustrating ending.
Like I said, most movies, tv show, etc has some sort of ridiculous illogical event going on to move the storyline along. Just as long as it isn't so ridiculous, they can get away with it. I don't think MW2 storyline had anything that was that ridiculous to make it bad.
I pity anyone trying to figure MW2's story that hasn't played the original MW. I admit I was surprised to find out that MW2's story had something to do with the first one. Not because it was a clever plot twist, but because it was pulled out of thin air. There was no fore shadowing allowing the player a chance to figure things out, as usual stories do, it was just BAM!
Why were you surprised? Black Ops was just a continuation of WaW with a focus on the Cold War this time. Why is it ridiculous to think MW2 would be tied to MW's storyline?
The first MW was more stream lined with only two storylines, eventually dovetailing into one. Things were easier to follow, and the moments far more memorable. That race thru the tilted ship, the crawling thru the grass by the Russian army, holding them off later by yourself, and that final car chase were truly memorable moments. MW2 and now Black Ops are just one forgettable blur, that I only recall the trudging thru, not the fascination of what I saw.

If Apple wants $9.99 from me for a movie, it better be at least 480p or better quality. I'm not spending ten bucks on a iPod quality movie. Speaking of home entertainment system /computer convergence, why can't they put a DVR in Mac mini that interfaces with the iTMS? Why can't Apple make a deal with Sony and put OS X on PS3? Why do we not have a iPod HiFi with Airport Express built-in? Finally why DOESN'T the Apple 30'' *HD* display have HDCP already?!?! Those that bought the 5.5G is going to be similar to the 4G situation when they released the Photo. One'll be the higher end ones (60/120 set), while the other'll be "music-oriented." That, with the lowered prices and Zune release, you got a concoction Steve Jobs sees as "all in the money."

I just don't see Apple changing all that much other than supporting CMDA in the iPhone 4.... IP 5.0... thats a different story. Verizon only... I think Apple needs all the carriers in the US now... the limited days need to end and this would give the iPhone 5 a great launch pad to a HUGE success. Sort of like most of Apple's products now. :)

Explain to me why you people feel threatened, harmed or hurt by the DRM?Remember, even if the press is very hung up on DRM, that is not the only principle in queation in the initial complaint. Most important, IMO, is Apple reserving the right to change the terms of the sale after the sale. And that is not only illegal, but very bad business practice... for the consumer, that is... :(
I don't give a toss about DRM on downloadable media in general. Of course if it actually bothered me I wouldn't even have bought the 8 songs I have from iTMS, but it doesn't. I actually think Fairplay is pretty fair... :)

Why are you using fear as part of your argument? I shouldn't have to have a gun on me to feel safe in my community. It's not saying I feel immune to crime, but fear of crime shouldn't drive a person.
Not fear of crime, but rather, the desire for self-preservation. Is someone else providing that safety for you? Or are you providing it for yourself? It sounds like you're taking option 3, and not providing it at all. FYI- the supreme court ruled that the police have no legal obligation to provide for your safety. Their job is only to catch the criminals during/after a crime - not to prevent it, and not to "keep you safe". Do you also choose not to wear your seat belt in your car, because that's for people who always fear collisions, and fear of an automotive collision shouldn't drive a person?
Yes, I own a few guns and I carry a hand gun on my person anytime I leave the house. To run errands, to pick the kids up from school, you name it, I'm carrying. I look it at the same way as the fire extinguisher I have sitting in the corner of my kitchen. I really really don't want an occasion to use it. Ever. But should that occasion arise, I absolutely want to have immediate access to it. Without that fire extinguisher, all I could do is stand in the front yard and watch my home burn to the ground waiting for the fire department to arrive. Carrying a hand gun is no different that that fire extinguisher in my kitchen or the airbags in my car. I don't ever want to use them, but having them can mean the difference between life and death. It doesn't mean I'm being driven by fear of kitchen fires or vehicle collisions.
Violent criminals frequently use guns to kill people. That is a fact, and there is absolutely nothing you can do to change that. Nothing. All you can do is arm yourself to level the playing field.

Here's a crazy idea.
Google should buy a few mobile recording studio's. Big busses with good recording equiptment. Have a logo on the side with something like:'Google's search engine looking for talent'. Oh, and some camerateams ('Google streetview' comes to mind...) as well.
Having in mind the succes of Idols, The voice of..., 'discovered' on youtube etc., Google should tour the country/world and record new talent. First, they will have fun content to show (paid perhaps), they can insert some ads, and... if they find talent, offer an exclusive recorddeal and sell that music. A sort of myspace to give new talent some exposure, and making money by selling their music.
Either Google announces ahead where the recording studio will be at, people can line up to show their skills (first time for Google people will actually stand in line for?)... or they announce which streets they will drive thrue and you better be ready with your act or miss the 5-minutes-of-fame-opportunity.

Google should buy a few mobile recording studio's. Big busses with good recording equiptment. Have a logo on the side with something like:'Google's search engine looking for talent'. Oh, and some camerateams ('Google streetview' comes to mind...) as well.
Having in mind the succes of Idols, The voice of..., 'discovered' on youtube etc., Google should tour the country/world and record new talent. First, they will have fun content to show (paid perhaps), they can insert some ads, and... if they find talent, offer an exclusive recorddeal and sell that music. A sort of myspace to give new talent some exposure, and making money by selling their music.
